LaTeX, written natively on your Mac.
Texlet is a LaTeX editor built for macOS. It compiles on your Mac, without a separate TeX installation, and the PDF beside your source follows as you type.
Coming soonFor macOS 14 Sonoma or later on Apple silicon.
Everything a paper needs
From the first draft to the final PDF: writing, figures, references and versions, in one app.
Compiles offline
pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX, with biber and latexmk. A missing package is offered for download the moment a build needs it.
Live preview
The PDF updates as you write. Click in the preview to jump to the source, and the preview follows your cursor.
Figures that stay editable
Draw diagrams and plots in a figure editor that writes TikZ into your document, and reopen them later to change them.
AI, with your own keys
Chat about your document, polish a passage, or fix a compile error. Requests go only to the provider you choose.
Citations and bibliography
Cite from Zotero as you write, and edit your .bib file as a sortable table without disturbing its formatting.
History and Git
Local history keeps earlier versions to compare and restore. Git is built in, from commits to branches.
Made for the Mac
Texlet is written with AppKit, TextKit 2 and PDFKit. It works with your files where they are, and nothing leaves your Mac unless you ask it to.
